2. Chainmaille Designs – Torsos
J4-1 dancing top: Made from 20awg 1/8″ and 3/16″ stainless steel rings. No tailoring; the maille naturally conforms to the wearer. Fold-over clasps at the neck and middle back.
E4-1 shirt with Batman logo inlay: Made from 16swg 1/4″ Black AA and Brass. Approx. 16000 rings, 5lbs.
Japanese 3-1 dancing top with half persian 3-1 trim: Made from 16swg 5/16″, 18swg 1/4″, 20awg 1/8″ stainless steel and 18swg 3/16″ bronze.

Half Persian 3-1 Sheet 6 bracers: Made from 16swg 5/16″ stainless steel and black neoprene.
Staggered Captive Inverted Round Sheet cuff: Made from 18swg 1/4″ stainless steel and bronze. This is one solid piece. For fun I made a CG version of the cuff.
Micro Dragonscale bracelet: Made from 22awg 1/8″ titanium and 24awg 5/64″ stainless steel. To give you an idea of the scale of the bracelet, here’s an early stage in its construction. You can see it’s as wide as a US penny. Fun times.
European 4-1 bracelet: Made from 24awg 1/16″ stainless steel.
Byzantine Bar bracelet: Made from 18swg 3/16″ titanium and red anodized aluminum.

I was one of a group of about 15 maillers across the US and Canada to work on a project for the Omni Hotel in Chicago. I assembled a curtain panel, 13′ tall and 2′ wide, made out of 12swg 1/2″ Bright Aluminum. The panels were shipped to Chicago, and installed by BlueBuddha, who also took these pictures.
